Shopian, parts of Pulwama shut for 9th straight day against militant, civilian killings

Shopian district and parts of Pulwama in the southern part of Kashmir are observing a complete shutdown for the 9th straight day against the killing of militants and civilians last Sunday.
Reports reaching here said that shops and other business establishments are shut while traffic is off the roads.
13 militants, 12 of them residents of Shopian, and 4 civilians, 3 of them residents of Shopian, were killed by government forces on Sunday during 3 separate anti-militancy operations.
The educational institutions have also remained shut across the districts since the killings.
