Shopian district in southern part of Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown for the 8th straight day against the killing of militants and civilians last Sunday.
Reports reaching here said that all the business establishments are shut while traffic is off the roads.
13 militants, 12 of them residents of Shopian, and 4 civilians, 3 of them residents of Shopian, were killed by government forces on Sunday during 3 separate anti-militancy operations.
The educational institutions have also remained shut across the district since the killings.
Meanwhile, reports said that 2G internet services have been restored in the district after remaining suspended for last seven days.
