Life returned to normal in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday after six-days of restrictions and shutdowns against killing of a civilian by police on Monday.
Shops and other business establishments opened across the town after five days. Both private and public transport plied normally.
A large number of people were seen busy in purchasing different household items from the market.
There was no major deployment of police and paramilitary troopers in the township.
Pertinently, four civilians were killed by government forces in South Kashmir during and post-encounter in South Kashmir on Sunday whereas a youth from Kangan got critically injured on Monday and later succumbed to injuries while as the other youth namely Amir Hamid of Chuturgul Kangan is on ventilator in SKIMS.
