Kangan shuts on fifth consecutive day

Kangan: A complete shutdown is being observed on the fifth consecutive day Saturday in central Kashmir’s Kangan area against the local youth’s killing in police action.
Gowhar Ahmad Rather was injured on Monday and succumbed on Tuesday last at SKIMS Soura.
All shops, business establishments, government and private offices remained closed in the town while public and private transport was off the roads.
The contingents of forces have been deployed at sensitive locations in the town to thwart any “element of violence”.
High speed Mobile Internet service remained suspended in Ganderbal district on the fifth consecutive day.
