SSB exam arrangements reviewed in Budgam, Blla

BUDGAM: District Development Commissioner Budgam, Mohammad Harun MalikThursday convened a meeting to review preparations for the smooth conduct of examinations to be conducted by Service Selection Board (SSB).
SSP Budgam, Chief Education Officer, ZEOs and other concerned attended the meeting.
The DDC stressed on ensuring the free and fair conduct of written exams of various posts including Naib Tehsildar starting from April 21.
He directed all the school heads to ensure a smooth environment for the candidates with proper seating arrangements and other facilities.
He said that the entire examination process would be video-graphed by the concerned agency to ensure transparency.
The DDC urged SSP Budgam to ensure proper arrangements of security around the examination centres.
He warned of stringent action against invigilators found indulging in unfair means including immediate suspension of a government employee and de-recognition of private school for any misconduct.
The DDC directed a team of magistrates and police protection for centre to ensuring delivery of exam material at least two hours before the conduct of exam and its delivery back to the JKSSB office in Srinagar after the exams conclude.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash also chaired a meeting to review the arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of forthcoming Services Selection Board examinations scheduled from 21st April for different categories of posts.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Farooq Ahmad Baba, Chief Education Officer, heads of different educational institutions where the examination centers have been set-ups and various others concerned.
It was informed that a total of 11355 candidates are appearing for different posts in about 31 centers across the district.
Threadbare discussions were held with regarding to the posting of staff, examination observers, seating and accommodation arrangements and other necessary facilities. The DC directed the concerned to ensure the smooth conduct of examination besides directing the officers to deploy sufficient staff at the centers and for the transportation of examination material. Moreover, it was also said that section 144 CrPc shall also remain in effect around exam centers.
Later, ADC who is also the nodal officer inspected some centers to get the first-hand appraisal of the facilities in these centers. He was accompanied by various officers of the district administration.
