KEA calls for shutdown today against civilian killings

Srinagar: The Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA), a conglomerate of trade and Transport unions on Thursday called for complete shutdown on Friday and announced that April 6 will be observed as ‘ black day’ against the killings in Shopian and Kangan.
Addressing a press conference here in Lala Rukh Hotel, KEA chairman M. Yousuf Chapri, and vice- chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar condemned the recent killings in Kashmir and demanded killings should be stopped in Kashmir.
They also demanded that government should initiate a dialogue process with all the stakeholders including Pakistan and pro-freedom groups to end the bloodshed in Kashmir.
KEA also said that they welcome the tourists to Kashmir valley.
“Kashmir’s have been safeguarding and providing exemplary hospitality to tourists for centuries.”
Muhammad Sidiq Ronga, Tasaduk Lavay,Hilal Mandoo and KTMF acting President Fayaz Bhat were also present in the press conference.
