Clashes follow ‘thrashing’ of people in Trehgam

Srinagar: Clashes between angry protesters and government forces erupted in Trehgam area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday.
Forces used tear smoke shells to disperse protesting men and women in the town of late Mohammad Maqbool Bhat.
Earlier, locals alleged that forces chased people on the main road and barged into the residential houses.
Locals also alleged that forces vandalised properties and thrashed people resulting in injuries to a lady.
Later angry people came on roads and started protesting against what they called highhandedness f the government forces.
