Handwara: MLA Langate Er Rasheed on Thursday said that killing of two blackbucks costs Salman Khan five years of imprisonment, but “murdering five unarmed innocent Kashmiris brings appreciation to major Adatiya by Supreme Court”.
Asking world community to take notice of unabated killings and deteriorating human rights violations in Kashmir, Rasheed said that the verdict by Jodhpur Court over killing of two blackbucks in 1998 by Salman Khan “has exposed the true face of Indian state”.
“There can be nothing shameful than that fact that criminal minded officers like Major Gogoi are becoming national Hero’s in India. It seems that for Indian state, Kashmiris are much lesser than animals. Those calling Kashmiris as their own people stand exposed and there should be no doubt that for them Kashmir means only a piece of land and Kashmiri mean nothing,” he said.
Rasheed added that taking care of animals is good, but treating Kashmiris worse than animals is shameful and unacceptable. He said, “The judgment has come as a shock for Kashmiris as the AFSPA and so called national interest is legalizing and justifying every killing in Kashmir.”
“Indians must introspect that why should they expect Kashmiris on their side after seeing so much of discrimination here. There are hundreds of army officers and other security officers who have committed murder in broad day light but are enjoying impunity,” he said.
