Authorities impose curfew in Kangan

Kangan: Curfew was imposed in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday to prevent protests against the killing of a youth by the men in uniform during clashes.
Locals said that announcement of curfew was made through police vans on Friday morning.
Local sources told Kashmir Reader that contingents of police and CRPF arrived in Kangan and imposed strict restrictions.
They said that forces did not allow civilian movement in the town and enforced curbs strictly.
Pertinently, a Kangan youth, Gowher Ahmad who was shot and injured by police succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS on Tuesday.
