Lal Chowk Srinagar areas tense after Student protests

Srinagar: Shopkeepers pulled down their shutters in Regal Chowk and Lal Chowk areas of Srinagar on Thursday after the Students of SP Higher Secondary, Kothibagh and Women’s College held protests against the killings of 13 militants and four civilians in Shopian on Sunday last.
The students marched up to Regal Chowk area of the civil lines, and raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans resulting in tension all around in the Srinagar business hub.
A Shopkeeper in Regal Chowk told Kashmir Reader that they have pulled down their shutters due to tension.
Schools and Colleges resumed their routine work today after three days.
The educational institutions were shut by authorities for three days to prevent protests.

    Indian Govt should stop its aid to all activities which have tendencies of anti India disposition and watch interesting rrsults

    Stop giving all aids to school colleges and hospitals no free services no concessions
    Stop all tourist
    Cover only border area let them do they want
    For 15 days
    Then give free way to go to occupied Kashmir or pakistan ..those who wants to be with india let them stay in j& k…..occupy their houses as they have done with pandits …..
    It’s a burden on on our head
    I have seen so many kashmiri college girl asking aids on our street in our area in the name of j&k relief fund organised at Bandra mumbai in every year I FEBRUARY they go to each shop’s in our area… like kandivali malad Andheri vile parle
    I m unable to understand why they should allow for it…..

    Apparently Kashmiri students are keen on studies.. Indian Government should stop its aid for colleges and universities failing to deter such anti national acts!!!
