KU, CUK Students hold protests against killings

Srinagar: The students of Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Thursday held protests at the campus (Nowgam) on Thursday against the killings of thirteen militants and five civilians in Shopian, Anantnag and Ganderbal districts in different force’s actions.
The students raised slogans condemning the killings. Funeral prayers in absentia were also offered for the slain militants and the civilians.
The Students in Kashmir University also held the same kind of protests inside the campus by raising Pro-freedom and pro-militant slogans.
The schools, colleges and the universities which remained closed following the Sunday’s south Kashmir killings opened today after three days.
