Srinagar: Spontaneous shutdown is being observed on Wednesday across the Kashmir valley against the killings of 13 militants and 04 civilians in Shopian on Sunday.
Joint Resistance Leadership had called for “Shopian challo” today, however they have not called for any strike.
All business establishments are closed while there is no public transport plying.
Government offices in the Srinagar city have registered thin attendance and Schools and colleges too are shut.
Men in uniform have been deployed in large numbers at various places in old city and other sensitive areas however witnesses said that people are allowed to move.
