Srinagar: Police on Wednesday not allowed octogenarian Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani to move out of his residence where he has been placed under detention.
Resistance leaders had called for “Shopian Challo’ to exhibit solidarity with the south Kashmir district where 13 militants and 04 civilians were killed in force’s actions Sunday last.
Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that a large number of police and forces had blocked the road leading to Geelani and nobody was allowed to move in nor was anybody allowed to come out.
Even media persons were not allowed to reach near the residence of Geelani who repeatedly tried to open the main gate of his residence but police had locked that from outside.
