Srinagar: Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir Tuesday responded to former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi’s tweet about Kashmir.
Gambhir also took to Twitter to respond to Afridi. He went on to mock the vocabulary of Afridi and called it “retarded” as well.
“Media called me for reaction on @SAfridiOfficial tweet on OUR Kashmir & @UN. What’s there to say? Afridi is only looking for @UN which in his retarded dictionary means “UNDER NINTEEN” his age bracket. Media can relax, @SAfridiOfficial is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!!,” Gautam Gambhir wrote in response to Afridi’s Tweet.
Earlier Pak former cricket Afridi had strongly condemned the Shopian killings and expressed concern over the situation in Kashmir.
In a tweet, Afridi, who has a huge fan following in Kashmir as well, had questioned the United Nations and other international bodies for their ‘silence’ over the bloodshed in Kashmir.
“Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?” Afridi had tweeted.
