Srinagar: Dozens of doctors and para-medical staffers at district hospital Shopian Monday held protest against what they called highhandedness of the men in uniform.
The medical staff members alleged that men in uniform opened fire in the hospital premises on Sunday and “brazenly tried to stop them from performing their professional duties.”
The protesting medical staffers also handed over dozens of used ammunition to the local administration alleging that they were targeted by the men in uniform.
13 militants, 04 civilians and 03 forces personnel were killed in three gunfights in south Kashmir on Sunday.
Scores of people were injured in the clashes with government forces in Shopian area.
Meanwhile, reports from Kulgam area in south Kashmir said that an undeclared curfew has been imposed in the town.
