HAJIN: Government forces on Saturday evening lunched a cordon and search operation (CASO) at Shahgund village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Official sources said that following a tip of about the presence of militants in the area, government forces launched CASO around 7 pm.
An official said that a joint team of Army’s 13 RR unit and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police laid a siege to Rahimdar Mohallah of Shahgund locality.
As soon as the news about the CASO spread, few youths pelted stones at forces. However, they were chased away by forces.
