‘OGW’ arrested in Ganderbal

Ganderbal: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested an over ground worker (OGW) for Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant outfit from Shalabug Ganderbal.
SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone told media that acting on specific information, police launched cordon and search operation at Lobar Mohalla Pati-Shalabug Ganderbal. During the search operation Police arrested one Nazir Ahmad Malik son of Abdul Khaliq Malik of Lobar Mohalla alleged to be an OGW with HM.
SSP said Nazir was involved in providing support to militants and claimed recovery of huge quantity of incriminating material from his possession.
He said an army bag, three cell phone bodies, one leather wallet, one khaki belt, one combat dress, two homemade HM stamps, one stamp pad, three dairies, and handmade maps of north and south Kashmir were recovered from his possession
A case FIR number 41/2018 under section 212 Act has been registered in Police Station Ganderbal. More arrests are expected in coming days, SSP said.
