Srinagar: Authorities on Friday decided to allow Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani to offer Friday prayers ending his long house detention.
Police sources told Kashmir Reader that Geelani’s house detention has been ended and he will be allowed to offer Friday prayers.
According to Hurriyat (G) sources, Geelani will offer Friday prayers at Jamia masjid Hyderpora, not far from the residence of old ailing leader.
He is expected to address the gathering post prayers, they said.
Geelani was undergoing house detention since 2010 uprising.
Authorities would allow him whenever he wanted to travel to Delhi for medical checkup however they used to place him under house arrest on his return.
