CWE holds mega awareness prog at GGHSS Kothibagh

270 youth participate; successful entrepreneurs felicitated

PAMPORE: The Centre for Women Entrepreneurship (CWE), a program vertical of Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) on Thursday conducted mega awareness-cum-orientation program at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh, Srinagar.
The program was aimed at creating awareness and orienting the educated unemployed females towards entrepreneurship.
More than 270 people participated in the program including students from GGHSS Kothi Bagh, students of NIUST, ITI and polytechnic courses and some female entrepreneurs sponsored by JKEDI.
The participants were sensitised about the need for entrepreneurship in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The participants were made aware of different government schemes being implemented by CWE of JKEDI to foster entrepreneurship in the state of J&K.
On the occasion CWE also felicitated some successful female entrepreneurs and presented them mementos.
The Centre for Women Entrepreneurship, Kashmir is dedicated for encouraging females to come forward and chose entrepreneurship as their first career choice. The centre will continue such awareness programs in the coming days.
