Seminar on children’s literature in Kashmiri language organised

SRINAGAR: National Book Trust, India, Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India , New Delhi and J&K Cultural Academy organised a function on ‘Various trends in Children’s Literature in Kashmiri Language’ here on Wednesday .
Noted writer Ghulam Nabi Atish presided over the function.
Many scholars presented their papers on the subject followed by discussions. The scholars who presented their papers include Dr Shayista Ahmad, Satesh Vimal, Dr Afaaq Aziz and Shabir Ahmad Shabir.
In his address, Secretary JKAACL Dr Aziz Hajini said that Kashmiri had rich treasures of children’s literature.
The speakers on the occasion stressed the need to involve educational institutions in order to popularise children’s literature in mother languages.
Ghulam Nabi Atish in his presidential address congratulated NBT and JKAACL for organising such functions which aim to broaden the spectrum of Kashmiri language.
