DC Bla distributes Rs 31 lakh among militancy victims

Baramulla: A meeting of district-level screening cum co-ordination committee (DLSCC) was held under here the chairmanship of District Magistrate Baramulla Dr Nassir Ahmad Naqash on Monday.
A statement said that 25 cases were taken up in the meeting and only 11 cases were cleared.
“Other cases were deferred for want of clarification and permission for re-examination. 8 out of them pertained to cash compensation and Rs. 4 lakh was sanctioned for each of the 8 cases and 2 cases were cleared for an appointment. Moreover, Rs.7 lakhs were sanctioned in favour of 1 Case for property damage,” the statement said.
The statement added that the eligibility including qualification of the applicants was also taken into account while deciding the appointments cases. The Reports from Police, CID and Army were thoroughly discussed while deciding the cases. All the necessary guidelines as per SRO-43 were also kept in view. Besides, re-verification and dependent certificates in some cases was sought during the meeting,”the statement added.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Baba, Joint Director Planning AG Malik, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Bashir Ahmad Bhat and Officers form Police, Army and CID attended the meeting.
