Police public meet held in Srinagar

Srinagar: A Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was held at SDPO office West Srinagar.
SDPO West Furqan Qadir convened a public interaction meeting in which a number of citizens of Gousia Colony Bemina participated, a spokesperson said.
He also said that the aim of the meeting was to strengthen relations with public & also to establish the first-hand contact with masses.
The participants in the meeting highlighted various issues of public importance like eradicating drug menace, drug addiction & some issues related to civil administration especially the scarcity of drinking water, electricity and also raised their demand for Fire & Emergency Services in the area, a spokesperson said.
The participants appreciated the role of police in curbing the social crimes in the area, he added.
Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants SDPO West assured them that the issues pertaining to police will be solved in shortest possible time and the rest will be taken up with the civil administration for their redressal on priority. He also sought the cooperation of participants in fighting social crimes.
The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks.
