Baramulla: Two non-local militants who were killed in a brief encounter with army and other government forces in south Kashmir on Friday were buried in the Gantamulla “martyrs’ graveyard” in Baramulla on Saturday night.
Gravediggers had readied two graves during the day and police in the evening brought the bodies to police station Sheeri, from where they were taken for burial to the Gantamula graveyard, where non-local militants are being buried since 2016. About a dozen people including some policemen offered funeral prayers for the slain.
Beginning with Pakistani militant Abu Dujana, more than 80 non-local militants have been buried in the Gantamulla graveyard in the past three years.
