Two militants killed in south Kashmir’s Dooru: Army

Srinagar: Two militants were killed Saturday morning in a gunfight which broke out late last night between government forces and militants in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, Army said.
The gunfight took place at Shistargam village of Dooru area.
“Two militants were killed in the operation which continues,” Army PRO, Col R K Panday told Kashmir Reader.
Col Panday however did not identify the slain militants.
Police said forces, including the Army, state police and the Central Reserve Police Force, surrounded Shistargam village in Dooru area following information that a group of militants was hiding there.
“As the cordon around the hiding militants was tightened, they (militants) fired at forces triggering a gunfight,” police said.
