Budgam’s Wagoora students hold cleanliness awareness drive

BUDGAM: To sensitise common masses regarding importance of cleanliness, primary and middle school students from Budgam’s Wagoora village took out a rally here on Friday under their respective institutional authorities in collaboration with block development officer (BDO).
Students and staff members actively participated in this campaign. Students carried placards regarding cleanliness and raised their voices to promote cleanliness awareness among neighboring villagers.
Slogans like “Gandagi Hatao Zindagee Baachao” (remove filth, save life), “Safayee Aada Eemaan Hai (cleanliness is half faith), “Ghar Ghar Mein Safayee Ko Aam Karo (promote cleanliness door to door) resonated during the rally.
These institutions organise cleanliness drive every year but on Friday block development officer also collaborated in the campaign, expressed an officer. He said the rally started two days before and would continue for more few days.
They also carried out plantation drive and cleaning activities in school campuses.
