Baramulla: The MLA Baramulla Javid Hasan Beigh on Thursday said that office of the Joint director education north Kashmir is officially in Baramulla.
Talking to reporters at Dak Bunglow here, Beigh said: “Some people want to divide people of Sopore and Baramulla towns for their own interest but we will not allow anyone to do so.”
He added, “There are several offices in Sopore like ARTO office, PDD office and others which doesn’t mean that we will shift them. However being a district headquarter Baramulla has its own identification and it was government order that joint director for north Kashmir should be at district headquarter Baramulla,” he added.
He also clarified that he has no hand in shifting the office JD Education’s office from Sopore to Baramulla.
“Joint director never joined the office in Sopore. Yes, he visited several schools on his very first day and then he reached Baramulla where he inaugurated his office and officially joined here,” Javid said.
He further said that he doesn’t differentiate between Baramulla and Sopore people and would like more development in Sopore town.
“They are our own people and I will be the first person who will be happy if the government declares Sopore as a district in future. I am not against the development of Sopore town” he said.
Meanwhile, Beigh inaugurated 10 MVA transformer at Power Grid Station in Sheeri Narvaw area of Baramulla.
The installation of the Transformer will address the problems faced by the villagers, he said.
Meanwhile, villagers said that with new transformer they will receive high voltage electricity.
