Locals of the village told Kashmir Reader that at around 2am past Wednesday midnight, government forces laid siege to the village, conducted raids on several houses and arrested 15 persons, including two men in their fifties.
Villagers said that the government forces first chanted Azadi slogans so that people may come out of their houses. “They chanted slogans in the middle of night but nobody paid heed towards their slogans. They later forcibly barged into residential houses and arrested several persons,” said Ghulam Muhammad, an elderly man of the village.
