Zone Rainawari organises ‘grand’ function in Badamwari orchards

SRINAGAR: Director School Education Kashmir Dr G N Itoo has said that DSEK was observing cleanliness week and during this period there would be plantation drives, debates and discussions on cleanliness followed by involving local communities around the school and sensitising them about cleaner and greener environment.
Itoo stated this while speaking during a an event organised by Zonal Education Office, Rainawari
He thanked Minister of Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari for facilitating grant of budget three times more what used to be allocated in the past and assured that with such funds infrastructure would be upgraded in schools across valley.
Itoo said that infrastructure-wise, the year 2018 should be remembered as golden year in the near future adding that they will first build walls, conveniences and other necessary infrastructure at girls schools which will be followed by boys schools, an official statement read.
Director education also promised to hold separate spring festival and other events in open to provide exposure to students.
Incharge News, DDK Srinagar, Salman Qazi highlighted the importance of education and stressed on students to take extra care of their studies besides involving themselves in extracurricular activities.
On the occasion, President Navkriti Foundation, an NGO Rajiv Kumar adopted Government Boys Middle school and vowed to provide students every help including stationery items and computer systems in the coming months.
As many as 11 cultural programmes were performed by school kids highlighting importance of trees.
Director education also initiated plantation drive at Government Boys Middle School Kathidarwaza to promote plantation of more trees for physical and mental wellness. He also interacted with the teachers of the school.
