Main accused in Kathua minor’s rape and murder case surrenders

Srinagar: The main accused in the rape-and-murder case a minor girl in Kathua surrendered before the Crime Branch of the Jammu and Kashmir police.
Sanji Ram, a retired revenue official, who the Crime Branch probe nailed was the “master mind” in the rape and murder case of 8 year old girl surrendered before SSP Crime, Jammu; a Crime Branch official told Kashmir Reader.
An eight-year-old nomad Muslim girl, was abducted, raped and murdered in Hiranagar area of Kathua district on January 10 and her body was spotted by villagers in a nearby forest on January 17.
Ram’s son Vishal was arrested from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district.
