Pampore: Shops and other business establishments opened in Awantipora and Tral areas of Pulwama, and Balhama and Khanmoh areas of Srinagar district on Monday after three days of shutdown against the killing of three militants at Balhama on Friday.
Two local and a non-local militant were killed in a gunfight with government forces at Balhama on Friday.
Witnesses said that hundreds of people visited the homes of slain militant on fourth day in Nowdal and Aghanzpora villages to express condolences.
Public transport, business, and schools resumed routine work on Monday.
However, in the evening forces fired few tear smoke shells n Pulwama after students reportedly pelted stones on police station.
Police officials said that about a dozen students resorted to stone pelting on police personnel after their exams concluded.
Police said they have identified “all the miscreants” through video camera.
