Five thieves arrested in Ganderbal

Ganderbal: Ganderbal police on Sunday said that they arrested five burglars and recovered stolen items including mobile phones from them.
A police statement said that the Police Station Gund received a complaint of burglary incidents in the Kullan area from a Mobile Shop owner in Kullan area and a case under FIR no 04/2018 under section 380,457 RPC was registered.
While investigating the matter five accused persons were arrested who confessed of burglary and on their instance stolen items including Electric wire of one coil, Pen Drives, Mobile Chargers, 16 Mobile Phones, 4 Wrist Watch’s, 2 Solar Lanterns, 19 Mobile Batteries, 2 Carrying Bags.
Police identified the arrestees as Liakat Ahamd Tadworth son of Nazir Ahamd Tadwa, Shahnawaz Ahmad War, Kaiser Ahmad Khan son of Shabir Ahmad Khan residents of Razan Gagangir, Irshad Ahmad Khatana son of Zahoor Ahmad Khatana a resident of Yachama Mamar and Irshad Ahmad Raina son of Ghulam Rasool Raina a resident of Hariganiwan.
Police said during questioning they also admitted their joint involvement in burglaries in two more shops of Mobile and accessories and Grocery shop at Ganiwan and Kullan area.
