DSEK fails to start higher classes in Pattan girls school even after official upgradation

Baramulla: Even after four years, government girls high school was upgraded to Higher secondary level, authorities have failed to conduct the class for the 11th and 12th classes in Pattan area of Baramulla.
Locals said that Government Girls High School Pattan was established in 1958 and was upgraded to higher secondary level in 2014 only after hectic lobbying by people.
“Unfortunately upgradation order number 737 of education department issued in 2014, but it remained limited only to papers,” they said.
Residents also said that there is no separate girls higher secondary institute (GGHSS) from Narbal to Sangrama Baramulla and appealed concerned department to look into the matter and start higher classes for girls in the school.
They also demanded augmentation of infrastructure in the school.
