Pulwama parts shut to mourn militant killings

Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed in many parts of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district to mourn the killing of two militants in a gunfight with government forces at Balhama, Khunmoh on Friday.
Rasiq Nabi (Owais) of Nowdal Tral and Shabir Ahmad of Aghanzipora village were killed an overnight ginfight in the Srinagar outskirts.
Meanwhile, reports of clashes between protesters and forces have also reached from Nawdal Tral after the burial of Rasiq Nabi (Owais) at his ancestral graveyard in the village.
Reports of clashes have also reached from Murran chowk in main Pulwama town, where youth took to streets and clashed with the forces.
Clashes also erupted at Awantipora after the body of Shabir Ahmad reached his native village.
Mobile Internet service continued to remain suspended on the second consecutive day in parts of Pulwama district.
