University at forefront for such programmes: VC BGSBU
SRINAGAR: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University organised a week-long short term course on recent advances in power and energy engineering organised by Department of EREE, under TEQIP-III.
Vice Chancellor BGSBU, Prof Javed Musarrat inaugurated the course and emphasised on the importance of such programmes for students, researchers and faculty members in academics and research. He said that BGSBU was determined to provide such platforms to budding researchers and innovators “to augment their potential for the larger benefits of mankind”.
He said that under TEQIP-III prgrammge, the College of Engineering and Technology, BGSBU was setting new mile stones in the field of engineering and technology.
Head, Department of Electrical & Renewable Energy Engineering (EREE), Prof Iqbal Parvez, Dean Academic Affairs, commended the department for organising the workshop and also highlighted the activities that would take place under TEQIP-III.
Students, faculty members and participants from within and outside the university were present in the inaugural. In the week long course, resource persons from various reputed institutions shall share their knowledge with the participants.
