BUDGAM: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested three persons from main town Budgam along with live arms and ammunition and other incriminating material.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Budgam) Tijinder Singh confirmed the arrests to Kashmir Reader and said that all three were arrested from main town Budgam on Thursday afternoon.
Singh added, “After working on an input, Budgam Police along with the army arrested three persons during a joint raid and seized incriminating material including three pistols, four magazines and twelve rounds from their possession.”
He identified the arrested persons as Faizan-ul-Zaman son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat, resident of Kandipora, Bijbehara, Sajad Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Rosool Dar and Maiser Ahmad Dar son of Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, both residents of Samboora, Pulwama.
“The timely arrest of these individuals has prevented the commission of a serious crime,” Singh said.
“In this connection, a vehicle was also seized in which the three were travelling,” he added.
Police have registered a case and investigation has been taken up. “Investigation has been taken up to unearth the whole chain of conspiracy leading to the incident,” Singh said.
He added that preliminary investigation has established the complicity of three individuals in the crime.
