Srinagar: Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen (TeM) on Monday owned slain Srinagar militant Muhammad Ehsan Fazili and two others killed in Anantnag gunfight on Monday.
TeM spokesperson in a statement issued to GNS said, “During midnight, the Indian forces cordoned off the area. During the search operation, an encounter broke between forces and mujahideen. Several forces were killed or injured and many forces’ vehicles were damaged. The mujahideen trashed the appeals of surrender by forces and fought till their last breath.”
“In the encounter, Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen district commander Muhammad Ehsan Fazili son of Muhammad Naeem Fazili alias Muhammad Eesa resident of Soura, Srinagar, and his associates Sabzar Ahmad Sofi were martyred. Eesa had joined the ranks of mujahideen ranks after completing BTech and rendered invaluable services for the movement. Syed Owais Shafi of Hizbul Mujahideen while fighting Indian forces also embraced martyrdom,” he said.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson said that Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen Ameer Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman has paid glorious tributes to slain militants and reiterated that their mission will be taken forward till the “dawn of freedom”.
“Those who want to barter with the sacrifices of the martyrs will face horrible doom,” the spokesperson quoted Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman as having said.
