Spontaneous shutdown in Srinagar, Anantnag

Srinagar: A spontaneous shutdown is being observed in Srinagar and Anantnag areas after three militants were killed in an encounter with government forces in Anantnag district of south Kashmir Monday.
A police spokesman said two of the slain militants were identified as Eesa Fazli of Srinagar and Syed Owais of Kokernag in Anantnag. The identity of the third militant was being ascertained.
Lal Chowk and other business areas of Srinagar are also shutdown to mourn the militant killings. Shops and business establishments are also closed in Anantnag and adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, internet speed has been reduced in Srinagar areas while as train services have also been suspended in the valley.
