Srinagar: Barring south Kashmir districts of Shopian, Anantnag, Pulwama and Kulgam, educational institutions opened after three month long winter break in Kashmir valley on Saturday.
The schools in south Kashmir will open on Monday, March 12.
Children were seen dressed in their school uniforms waiting for their school buses at bus stops early today.
The authorities delayed opening of schools after tension grew in Kashmir against the killing of four civilians in army firing in Pahnoo area of Shopian.
