Srinagar: An Indian soldier was injured on Friday after Indian and Pakistani troops resorted to cross LoC firing in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Defence sources said the Pakistan Army resorted to “unprovoked” firing on the Line of Control in Uri sector. The injured soldier was shifted to a hospital.
“Our troops retaliated strongly and effectively,” an official said.
The LoC divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
