Editor Uqaab Manzoor Anjum bereaved 

Srinagar: Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) has expressed grief over the demise of Ali Mohammad Shah, elder brother of Manzoor Anjum, Chief Editor-Daily ‘Uqaab’.

The editor’s body prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.

“We stand with the family in this hour of grief and pray for their forbearance to overcome this loss,” the editor’s body said in a statement issued here.  

Ali Mohammad Shah passed away on Tuesday night at a local hospital here after a brief illness. Shah, who was working as an engineer in the Public Works Department was living in Brein Nishat after his retirement.

As per Shah’s family his death will be mourned for three days followed by Fateh Khwani on Friday after the culmination of Zuhar prayers at the graveyard in Brein Nishat.

Notably, Shah is survived by two sons. His elder son, Dr Khalid Shah is based in US while his younger son Raashid works in Netherlands.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti also condoled with Editor, Uqaab, Manzoor Anjum over the demise of his elder brother who passed away today at Srinagar.

The Chief Minister has prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul while extending her heartfelt sympathies to Mr. Anjum and other members of the bereaved family.
