Editor Uqaab, Manzoor Anjum bereaved

Srinagar: Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) on Wednesday expressed grief over the demise of Ali Mohammad Shah, elder brother of Manzoor Anjum, Chief Editor of Daily Uqaab.

The editor’s body prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.

“We stand with the family in this hour of grief and pray for their forbearance to overcome this loss,” the editor’s body said in a statement issued here.

Ali Mohammad Shah passed away on Tuesday night at a local hospital here after a brief illness. Shah, who was working as an engineer in the Public Works Department, was living in BreinNishat after his retirement.

As per Shah’s family his death will be mourned for three days followed by FatehKhwani on Friday after the culmination of Zuhar prayers at the graveyard in BreinNishat.

Shah is survived by two sons. His elder son, Dr Khalid Shah, is based in US while his younger son Raashid works in Netherlands.
