SHOPIAN: Inhabitants of DK-pora, Narwani, Batpora, Manihal, Thokerpora and adjoining villages demand the construction of Bridge on Tongri Nalla which was damaged in September 2014floods.
Residents told Kashmir Reader that they face immense problems due to non-availability of Bridge on the Nalla. They said that after the bridge was damaged in floods a diversion was made by the government which is unsafe and are apprehensive about their children who have to cross it every day on way to schools of DK-pora and Narwani.
Manzoor Ahmed, a resident of DK-pora said that several bridges were reconstructed by the government but this one was left due to unknown reasons. “We brought this issue in the notice of higher functionaries of government but till date, no step was taken by the government to built this bridge,” he said.
