DDC Pulwama reviews health sector

PULWAMA: District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Gulam Mohammad DarThursday convened a meeting to review the progress of health sector.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, CMO Pulwama, BMOs and other officers of the Health Department.
Chief Medical Officer Pulwama highlighted the achievements and works under progress in the health sector.
The meeting was informed that as per SRS Statistical Report 2016, the birth rate, death rate and IMR in the district is 16.8, 4.6 and 24 respectively. It was also given out that since April 2017-18, 3053 institutional deliveries have been performed and 3037 Women have been provided drugs and consumables under Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojana.
Meanwhile, under the yojana, 3436 persons in rural areas have been provided Rs 48.10 lakh @ Rs1400 per beneficiary while Rs 1.35 lakh was disbursed among 135 persons in urban areas @ 1400 per beneficiary.
Under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), the total financial assistance for cases during 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 ending January stands at Rs1345000 lakh, the meeting was informed further.
The meeting was also informed that OPD and Emergency Block of SDH Tral have been completed. It was said that main construction of Rs 13.23 crore CHC Rajpora has been completed and handed over to the concerned department by executing agency JKPCC.
The DDC exhorted upon the concerned officials to work with added zeal, dedication and vigour and in close coordination for the development of the health sector in the district.
