Grameen bank temporary employees demand regularisation of services, hike in salaries
SRINAGAR: The temporary employees of Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank on Wednesday protestedin Srinagar demanding regularisation of their services and hike in salaries.
Scores of protesters assembled here in press enclave and shouted the slogans in favour of their demands.
Abdul Majeed Mir, a protestor, said, “We are working in the bank from last five years. We demand from both the state and central government to provide us job security and increase in our wages,” adding we are performing our duties regularly, and we are presently taking two thousands of rupees from the government. This amount is not enough to fulfil the demands of their families, he said.
The protesters requested the chief minister of the state to fulfil their demands.
