State Rugby 7s championship begins

Srinagar: State Rugby 7s championship Friday begin at Polo Ground .
The championship was inaugurated by Joint Secretary and Divisional Sports Officer of State Sports Council Nazir Ahmad and Nuzhat Ara here.
A total of 12 districts from the state is locking horns in the said championship
The Joint Secretary and Sports officer Kashmir appreciate the working of the Rugby Association and assured for the early competition of the construction works of the Rugby field, so that regular training and events will be held in coming season.
In Sub junior (Boys) District Shopian bagged first position followed by Pulwama and District Srinagar stood third.
In senior girls Srinagar (A) team bagged first spot followed by Anantnag while Srinagar (B) bagged third spot.
The event for the Sub junior and Junior Girls, Junior and Senior Boys will be held tomorrow at the same venue.
The event is organised by Jammu and Kashmir Rugby Association under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council.
