SRINAGAR: Terming the killing of a 65-year-old person Syed Habibullah of Soibug, Budgam at the hands of Indian Air Force personnel as the result of “brutal occupation”, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) on Tuesday said that heavy militarisation has made Kashmir a place where living has become very difficult.
This was stated by a DFP leader Engineer Farooq Khan who led a delegation to Soibugh to express solidarity with the bereaved family of Syed Habibullah.
Terming the killing of Habibullah as inhuman, the delegation said there can be no worse a concept of human rights violation than his killing.
“The Indian forces have been provided licence to kill each and every Kashmiri whenever they like. Irony is that human rights activists and defenders in New Delhi are mere spectators to the plight faced by innocent freedom loving Kashmiri people. The silence of Indian media is also criminal which is defending the atrocious acts of Indian forces in Kashmir.”
The DFP delegation expressed sympathy with the bereaved family.
