Srinagar: The weekly prayers Friday were allowed in Jamia Masjid Srinagar after three weeks.
Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman Friday strongly criticised the government for disallowing Friday prayers, at Jamia Masjid every now and then.
He lashed out at authorities for repeatedly disallowing Friday prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid and imposing curbs in the Downtown area of Srinagar.
“After 3 Fridays Juma prayers allowed at #JamaMasjid. Muslim collaborators under the influence of their masters need to remember that in Islam mosque is a place of collective worship and not just individual. It is a community centre for the Muslims where besides other things,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
Mirwaiz added, “Jumma Khutba reflects those issues and problems of the community and their redressal in the light of Quran, Sunnah and ethics.”
