SRINAGAR: Congress Party on Tuesday strongly urged upon the public service commission (PSC) to defer KAS Main exams saying the aspirants did not get adequate time for preparation and remained engaged in court cases.
“As a result, they find it difficult to appear in exams being conducted on February 15,” party said.
An official statement said that a delegation of KAS aspirants approached Congress Party pleading that their exams be deferred enabling them to get prepared fully to appear in exams.
Party spokesperson asked the PSC to come out with fresh dates.
“The way PSC is thrusting exams on students is very unfortunate and amounts to ruining their career, so government must take strong note of the matter and ensure that exams are deferred paving the way for students to get prepared,” the spokesperson said.
He said it will be advisable if government directs PSC not to “thrust” exams on students as they have already suffered due to “wrong policies on the art of PSC”.
