Ganderbal: A workshop on social media and Islam was organised by Jamati Islami Jammu Kashmir in Mamar area of Ganderbal on Sunday.
“The objectives of the workshop was to evolve strategies to use social media effectively in a planned manner, intervene in discussions and to influence and guide public opinion on important social, national and international issues”, said Hilal Ahmad lone , a social activist said while addressing the inaugural session of a day long Workshop.
“It is also expected as an outcome of the workshop to form a core network of ideologically sound social media activists to achieve the objectives”, he added.
Sofi Rafiq Ahmad asked the partcipants to involve in discussions on human values and raise voice against every kind of injustice to anyone in the world and expose propaganda and hate campaign by communal fascist forces.
“Our mission as Muslims is to learn, to put into practice and to convey the message of Islam. We need to utilize our time wisely and stay away from sins,” he said.
