SHOPIAN: Unknown thieves on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday looted Rs 57000 from Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) of Kachdoora branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
A police official told Kashmir Reader that a case has been registered and the investigation is on. He said that thrives have used heavy metal to break the machine.
Senior superintendent of Police Shopian, Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar told Kashmir Reader that automatic teller machine of Kachdoora branch of Jammu and Kashmir bank was damaged and cash was stolen. “Rs 57,000 have been stolen by unknown thieves after damaging the machine,” he said.
On 22 November of 2017, an ATM machine with Rs 4 lakh of cash was stolen from the premises of sub-district hospital of Shopian.
